Possible abduction in Cambridge

Cambridge Regional Police Major Case Unit is looking into a possible abduction.
Police say around 8pm Monday night, witnesses reported seeing a girl being grabbed and put into the trunk of a car in the area of Christopher Drive and Champlain Boulevard.
Police say a passenger jumped out of a shiny, silver car, put a blanket over her head and placed her in the trunk. He then jumped into the back seat and the vehicle sped off north along Christopher.
Police say the passenger is described as a white man and 18 to 25 years of age. He was wearing blue jean shorts, a blue shirt and a white and green baseball cap.
The girl is believed to be around 17 years old. She has shoulder length blonde hair and was wearing black jeans and a white tank top.
Witnesses are urged to contact either the Major Case Unit at 519-653-7700, extension 8665 or Crime Stoppers.
