Dan Kelly’s three points powered the Rangers past the Spirit 4-1 last night. Kitchener’s captain had a goal and two assists in the win that gives the Rangers a 3-1 series lead as the team returns home for Game Five Friday night. Michael Catenacci also scored for Kitchener, his second of the series, while Chris MacKinnon and Jeremy Morin had empty net goals to seal the win in front of almost 3,700 fans in Saginaw. Vincent Trochek’s goal with less than two minutes to play spoiled a shutout bid for Brandon Maxwell, who was solid again in turning aside 39 of 40 Saginaw shots.
The series shifts back to Kitchener tomorrow night in a game you can hear on 570 News. Join Don and Gary for the broadcast, starting at 7:00 p.m.
