Chasing 50

Two Kitchener Rangers have a shot of reaching the 50-goal plateau, for only the second time in team history.

Heading into this weekend’s final three games, Jeremy Morin is sitting on 46 goals while Jeff Skinner is at 48.

Skinner missed last Friday’s game against the Otters and did not score Sunday versus Guelph, while Morin had a hat trick against Erie and a single versus the Storm.

The only other time the Rangers had two 50-goal scorers in the same season was 1983-84, when Wayne Presley scored 63 and David Bruce had 52.

The Rangers face Owen Sound tonight, a team against which both Skinner and Morin have scored hat tricks this season.

Don and Gary have the pre-game show at 7 on 570 News.
