Elmira man pleads guilty to wife’s murder

An Elmira man has pleaded guilty to strangling his wife in April of 2008.

43-year-old Kenneth Ferguson entered the plea in court today.

Ferguson was having an affair with another woman when he killed his 44-year-old wife Valerie.

He will be given a mandatory life sentence with no chance of parole for 20 years.

The Record is reporting that Ferguson issued a tearful apology in court today.
