Four arrests made in Brantford homicide

Brantford police have arrested four people in connection with the 1999 death of Aaron Reid. 29-year-old’s Jason Boutilier and Christopher Sandford, of Brantford have been charged with second-degree murder. 29-year-old Garrett Henderson of Hamilton, has been charged with first-degree murder. All three were 18 at the time of the homicide. Police have also charged a 25-year-old woman, who cannot be identified under the former Young Offenders Act, with second-degree murder. She was 14 at the time of Reid’s murder. Reid was 17 at the time of his death. His prone body was struck by a train on October 16, 1999. Police began investigating his death as a homicide last year and the arrests follow an intensive 10-month investigation.
