Cities donate to Haitian relief effort

The cities of Kitchener and Waterloo will both donate money to the Haitian relief effort.
Kitchener will contribute $5,000 while Waterloo will donate $10,000.
Last week, the region donated $25,000.
Kitchener Mayor Carl Zehr tells 570 News it’s important for a community as fortunate as ours to help those in times of crisis.
He also hopes the leadership shown by this and other councils will prompt more citizens to give to the cause.
