2010 Canadian Olympic men’s hockey team unveiled

Team Canada’s Executive Director, Steve Yzerman, and his staff have revealed the 23-man roster who will battle for the gold medal for Canada at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.
Former Kitchener Rangers’ Captain Mike Richards made the cut.
Scott Niedermayer will be the captain of Team Canada. Defenceman Chris Pronger and star forwards Sidney Crosby and Jarome Iginla will serve as his alternates.
Niedermayer was part of the Canadian Olympic team in 2002 but had to miss the 2006 Games because of knee surgery.
The most surprising of Yzerman’s early picks is 20-year-old defenceman Drew Doughty. He was taken ahead of Jay Bouwmeester and Mike Green.
