Extreme cold warning ends for region (update)

There was an extreme cold warning in effect across Waterloo Region Saturday morning.
According to Environment Canada, temperatures will moderate later that morning, ending the period of very cold wind chills.
Those wind chill values could reach near minus 30.
Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill create an elevated risk to health such as frostbite and hypothermia.
