Vehicle stolen at knifepoint, Waterloo man facing charges: WRPS

A stolen vehicle investigation in Kitchener has led to an arrest. 

Waterloo Regional Police were called just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday following a vehicle theft incident at a parking lot in the Weichel Street area. 

It's reported the victim was approached by a suspect, who was armed with a knife.

The suspect then allegedly demanded that the victim exit their vehicle, and then drove away with it. 

There were no injuries in the interaction and investigators believe it was a targeted incident. 

Police later arrested a 24-year-old Waterloo man. He's facing charges including robbery with a weapon and theft of a motor vehicle.
