Two Kitchener residents facing drug charges

Two residents of Kitchener are facing charges following the completion of a drug search warrant in the city.

It was executed Wednesday by members of the Direct Action Response Team and Emergency Response Team, in the area of Victoria Street North and Forfar Avenue.

Officers seized suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, morphine and an imitation firearm.

A 55-year-old man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (four counts), possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, as well as possession of stolen property under $5,000. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

A 33-year-old woman was also charged with possession of suspected cocaine.
