OPP arrest three Cambridge men riding in suspected stolen car

Three Cambridge residents are facing charges following a traffic complaint from a Good Samaritan.

Early Sunday morning, Ontario Provincial Police were alerted about a dark coloured vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Highway 6, south of Fergus. 

Police did track down the vehicle and were eventually able to stop it on Garafraxa Street. They later determined the vehicle had been stolen.

Iqbal Singh, 22, of Cambridge has been charged with:

·        CC 355(a) possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

·        CC 355(b) possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

·        CC 320.13(1) dangerous operation

·        CC 320.14(1)(a) operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·        CC 320.17 flight from peace officer

Harsh Sharma, 20, of Cambridge has been charged with CC 355(a) possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

Sahil Gautam, 22, of Cambridge has been charged with CC 355(a) possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

All the accused will appear in a Guelph court at a later date.
