Man arrested in connection with Kitchener assault

A Kitchener man is facing several charges following an assault investigation.

The incident happened Sunday evening in the area of Highland Road West and Butler Lane.

Police say several people were involved in an argument, when a male allegedly pointed a weapon at others before leaving the area on a bus.

Officers later located a suspect.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of identity documents and failing to comply with a release order.

Police also recovered the weapon they suspect was involved in the incident.

No one was injured.
