OUA football schedule released for 2022

The OUA looks to be returning to a pre-pandemic schedule when it comes to football.
An eight-game schedule with no divisions, and just one Battle of Waterloo during the regular season, instead of the two we saw in 2021.
It'll be a Week 7 showdown at the University of Waterloo on a Thursday night when the Laurier Golden Hawks visit the Warriors for a 6 p.m. kickoff on October 6.
The Hawks get a bye during the first week, and open the season on September 3 at home against Western. They'll also have home dates against Ottawa, Guelph and Queen's. They will visit Waterloo, as well as Toronto, York and Windsor.
The game against the GeeGee's will be on Laurier Homecoming weekend, September 24.
The Warriors are on the road against York on August 27 to start the year, and will also visit Western, Carleton and Windsor.
On top of the matchup with Laurier, Waterloo will also play host to Guelph, McMaster and Toronto during the year.
