The man accused in a house explosion and homicide in Kitchener will learn Wednesday if his case will go to trial.
Udo Haan, 59, is charged with first-degree murder, arson disregard for human life and two counts of arson damage to property.
It was the morning of August 22, 2018 that a home on Sprucedale Crescent exploded, reducing the home to rubble and severely damaging neighbouring homes.
Udo's wife Edra was found dead in the backyard of their home in the aftermath.
Police revealed a day later that Edra was the victim of a homicide.
Udo was formally charged in the fall of 2018, and evidence in the case has been protected under a publication ban.
A preliminary hearing wrapped up in January.
