Two more cases of COVID-19 are being reported in workers at the Toyota manufacturing plant in Cambridge.
The company told 570 NEWS in a statement Monday they got word of the two cases last week, and note that both are deemed to be cases of community transmission.
The workers have been asked to self-isolate, and are not allowed to return to work until cleared by a physician.
Public health did not identify any close work or personal contacts at the workplace.
Toyota goes on to say in the last eight months, while “a very small number of our approximately 8,500 employees have tested positive for COVID-19”, they've all been deemed to be community spread and they've had no cases of on-site transmission of the virus at their facilities.
Toyota resumed manufacturing operations in early May, after a few delays to their opening plans.
