Local job search site now up and running

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to record amounts of job loss across the Region and a new website is hoping to help those looking for work.
Findyourjob.ca is a way for people to find jobs that are available now.
The site is a partnership between local municipal, county and regional partners along with the Workforce Planning Board.
“Jobseekers can simplify their search and find a lot of information and postings in a one-stop website. They can use the mapping function to determine whether potential positions will fit with their transit and childcare needs and find supports if they have been recently laid-off,” says Charlene Hofbauer, Executive Director of the Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin.
“We and our partners also look forward to how we will be able to support our communities to see the positions employers are hiring, where opportunities are located and see whether jobseekers are seeking out those positions.”
The site was originally planned to launch in the fall but is already up and running.
