Violent robbery in Waterloo believed to be targeted: police

A violent robbery incident in Waterloo is believed to be targeted.

Police say an 18-year-old male victim was attacked by multiple people, and his personal property was stolen.

The incident happened Sunday night around 10 p.m. in the King Street North and Hickory Street East area, around the university district.

Multiple male suspects were involved, and police are calling it a targeted incident.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s General Investigations Unit, or leave anonymous tips with Crime Stoppers.
