Tire flies off truck’s trailer, hits vehicle in Woolwich: WRPS

Police are investigating after a tire flew off a trailer that was being pulled by a pick-up truck in Woolwich.

The incident was reported Monday around 10:10 a.m. in the Listowel Road and Three Bridges Road area of Elmira.

Police said the truck was towing a trailer that was carrying tires. One of them fell of the trailer bed and hit a vehicle that was behind the truck.

According to the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS), the driver of the truck stopped at the scene briefly but then drove away.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, including those with dash cam video, to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
