New Hamburg Fall Fair set to kick off for another year

It’s time to go to the fair!

Downtown New Hamburg is set to be packed with people this weekend as the annual New Hamburg Fall Fair kicks off on Thursday night. The theme for this year’s fair is “fun for the whole herd” and will be running until Sunday.

Headline events for this year will include the Draft Horse Pull on Thursday night, the Fair Ambassador Program alongside Wilmot Citizen of the Year awards on Friday night and the annual demolition derby on both Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

New to the fair this year is two Pro Rider FMX Freestyle Motocross shows on Friday night.

During the weekend, Boullee Street and Asmus Street will be converted to one-way traffic on Saturday and Sunday. Residents are also asked not to park on Jacob Street or they will be ticketed.

A food drive will be held on Thursday night with all donation going to the Wilmot Family Resource Centre. Admission is $2 for everyone or a perishable food item. The fairgrounds at 251 Jacob Street open at 6 p.m.
