Arrests made, drugs seized at magic mushroom shops in Kitchener and Cambridge

Two arrests have been made and a large quantity of magic mushrooms taken in by police after police raids at the two locations in Cambridge and Kitchener where FunGuyz Magic Mushrooms stores can be found.

Police said Wednesday afternoon the two businesses were searched at King Street East and Waterloo Street North in the Preston area, and Victoria Street South and Park Street in Kitchener.

A large amount of magic mushrooms in various forms were seized by police.

A 36-year-old man from Kitchener and a 19-year-old Cambridge man have been charged in connection with the case.

Both are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police have reminded the public it is illegal to sell magic mushrooms.
