Midnight robbery with two suspects brandishing knives at Kitchener store

It was a frightening midnight encounter for the worker at a Kitchener convenience store when two robbers came in brandishing knives.

Regional Police said they got the call around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday from a store near Westwood Drive and Westmount Road West.

Police said two male suspects came in with knives, demanding cash and merchandise from an employee.

The robbers then ran off on foot, and the involved employee was not hurt.

There are no descriptions of the suspects at this time.
