EB 401 lanes reopen at Guelph Line

It was a traffic nightmare for many motorists on Halloween due to a full closure of the eastbound lanes on Highway 401 at Guelph Line.

According to the Ministry of Transportation (MTO), the closure took effect around 5 p.m. and was due to a collision.

A spokesperson with Ontario Provincial Police said there was an investigation going on near Highway 401 in the Kelso Conservation Area, but further details were not immediately available.

Drivers had to plan an alternate because of the closure and there were significant delays on the 401 in both directions.

The MTO said eastbound 401 lanes reopened at Guelph Line around 6:45 p.m.
