Special air quality statement issued for Waterloo Region

A special air quality statement has been issued for Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.
Environment Canada is noting that children, seniors, and those with cardiovascular or lung disease are especially at risk.
The risk factors include increased coughing, throat irritation, headaches and/or shortness of breath.
The statement extends from Windsor through to Kingston.
