Deceased male found in Milton identified as Curtis Hesselink: WRPS

By Erin Anderson

Waterloo Regional Police have confirmed the deceased man found in Milton just over two weeks ago has been identified as Curtis Hesselink.

The man's body was discovered in a bush area on a rural property on May 20 by Halton Regional Police.

At the time, Waterloo Regional Police announced they suspected the man was Hesselink, and said he was the father of an eight-year-old boy who was found dead in Cambridge last month.

A post-mortem on Hesselink has now been completed and his death is not considered suspicious.

The young boy was found dead at a home in the Townline Road area on May 14 and police announced his death was considered suspicious.

A search was launched for Hesselink, as police said he may have information about the investigation.

A post-mortem was conducted for the child but a cause of death was not determined. Police are still awaiting toxicology results but there's no updated timeline.
