Highway 401 closes through Cambridge for bridge demolition

If you have overnight travel plans through Cambridge on the 401 this Saturday, you may want to plan an alternate. 

The MTO cautioned that Highway 401 will be completely closed Saturday evening at Hespeler Road beginning at 9 p.m. for bridge demolition. 

That closure is expected to last roughly 13 hours, with lanes anticipated to reopen Sunday morning at 10 a.m. 

Hespeler Road in Cambridge will also be closed in the area during that scheduled time. Detours will be posted for drivers.
