Highway 8 reopened in south Cambridge following collision (update)

Provincial police closed Highway 8 south of Cambridge on Wednesday morning for a collision investigation.
OPP were called to a crash between a transport truck and a cube van, which happened around 7 a.m.
Constable Timothy Dunnah said the transport truck was trying to back into a construction area, and was struck on the side by a cube van coming over a hill.
The driver of the cube van had to be removed from the vehicle by fire crews, and was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
The transport truck driver was not hurt.
Police said the highway reopened between Branchton Road and Morrison Road around 12:30 p.m.
