A young Stratford swimmer has done it!
Julia Notebomer turned 14-years-old Sunday, and broke a record!
The Wilmot Aquatic Aces swimmer swam the Lake Erie crossing between Sturgeon Point and Crystal Beach in six hours and 26 minutes, and she did in some windy conditions.
This makes her the youngest to ever cross Lake Erie.
Her Waves for Wishes swim to support Make-A-Wish Southerwestern Ontario has now raised over $15,000.
Donations can still be made.
