Flagraiders Paintball in Kitchener is back open

After being closed for several months due to the pandemic, Flagraiders Paintball is back in play.

It was a happy day for the paintball centre when they learned of the news that they could reopen, but it was also foreboding.

Corey Kimpson, Co-owner of Flagraiders Paintball said they had to make a number of changes to ensure the safety of their customers and employees.

“We suggested that people wear a mask in between games when they're in the staging area, of course maintaining physical distancing, handwashing we have hand sanitizer out, and all the equipment is going through an additional step.”

She said changes were also made to the number of people they can host in their outdoor facility.

“We have reduced our capacity significantly to allow for physically distancing throughout the staging area while on the playing field there are acres and acres of playing space.”

As a result of these changes in capacity, Kimpson is urging people to plan ahead and book a time slot.

“Because of the capacity limits we have put in place to ensure safe physical distancing, we cannot guarantee that somebody showing up without a reservation is going to be able to join us for the day because we just may not have space.”

She said she's hoping to see lots of people come out as it's a great way to get moving, get some fresh air, and have some fun.
