Suspects wanted after convenience store robbery in downtown Kitchener

The investigation is ongoing after a convenience store robbery in downtown Kitchener.

It happened Thursday night just after 8 p.m. 

Waterloo Regional Police said two people entered a store on Ontario Street and attempted to swipe merchandise. 

When an employee confronted the pair, a physical altercation ensued, and one suspect pulled out a knife.

There were no reported injuries.

Suspect #1 is described as a white male, around 6 feet tall, with a heavy build. He was wearing red shorts and a black backpack. 

Suspect #2 is described as a white female, around 5 foot 7, with a slim build and short blonde hair. She was wearing a baby blue t-shirt, black pants, and was carrying a skateboard.
