The Grand River Transit strike will continue until further notice.
The Region of Waterloo and Unifor Local 4304 met Wednesday but no agreement was reached.
No further talks are scheduled at this time.
In a release, Unifor said the talks broke off because “it became clear that the employer was not willing to offer new proposals.”
Unifor Local 4304 represents 700 drivers, mechanics, vehicle service attendants and dispatchers.
“The Region is extremely disappointed that negotiations have broken down. We understand this strike has seriously impacted the lives of our citizens and we are committed to reaching an agreement that will get busesback on the roads as soon as possible,” said Chief Administrative Officer Mike Murray in a release.
