Buy a burger this October to support children with Down syndrome

Eat delicious burgers. Give money to charity. What about doing both at the same time? 

For the entire month of October, $2.00 from every Donator burger purchased will be donated to the Waterloo Regional Down Syndrome Society (WRDSS).

'The Donator program is a great way for us to make a difference in our community,' said Gabriel Malbogat in the release, Co-Founder of Chef on Call. 

'Every month, the Chef team releases a limited edition donator recipe and selects a local charity to receive the proceeds. With $2.00 from every donator purchase going directly to the charity of the month, Chef on Call has given over $40,000 to 50 different local charity groups in Montreal and Waterloo.'

'We are thrilled to be the charitable benefactor of Chef on Call's Donator Burger for the month of October,' said Tara Hart in the release, Board Co-Chair, Waterloo Regional Down Syndrome Society. 

'We cannot thank this outstanding local business enough for not only helping to raise awareness and funds for our charity, but including a group of our teens and adults with Down syndrome in
the process of creating this menu item.' said Hart in the release. 

'They enjoyed the opportunity to showcase their creativity and abilities and we encourage the Waterloo Region community to come out and enjoy a Donator Burger in support of a great cause.'

'This month's donator is particularly special to us because we had the opportunity to host some brilliant minds in both our Waterloo and Montreal locations to learn about the background and creativity that surrounds our kitchen and staff,' said Malbogat in the release. 

'For us it was important for these kids and young adults [with Down Syndrome] to not only have a good time, but to have the chance to learn about food sanitation and see firsthand how a restaurant operates.'

Members and supporters of WRDSS will be descending upon Chef on Call on October 1st for a Launch Event from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. The local community and media are invited to attend and support this great initiative throughout October.
