The PC riding association for Kitchener-Conestoga is regrouping, after Michael Harris was ousted from the Tory caucus over allegations of inappropriate texting with a former intern.
A statement released Tuesday from the president of the riding association, Donald Kilimnik, says board members plan to meet in person as soon as possible to discuss their next steps.
With just two months to go to election day, the riding association will have to organize a nomination meeting very soon. Right now there is no confirmed candidate seeking to represent the PC’s in Kitchener-Conestoga.
Before the Harris complaint came to light, his wife Sarah announced she was interested in running, but won’t say if that’s still the case.
In an email to our newsroom, Sarah says she and Michael are taking a couple of days with their family.
Kilimnik did not reply to questions from 570 NEWS about her candidacy.
