Racial comments, threats made towards Cambridge bus driver

Waterloo regional police are investigating after reports that a Grand River Transit (GRT) bus driver was threatened in Cambridge.

The incident late Saturday afternoon also reportedly involved what police have called “racially charged comments.”

Officers were contacted around 4:15 p.m.

The dispute involved a male passenger, whose age was not provided by police.

The exact location of the incident was also not released by police, just that it took place at a bus terminal in Cambridge.

The investigation is ongoing, with police asking anyone with information to come forward.
