Former Kitchener Rangers goalie John Gibson will get a chance to play with the NHL’s best later this month.

The member of the Anaheim Ducks got an invite to the NHL All-Star Game on Wednesday. The game will be played Sunday, January 31st in Nashville.

Gibson has appeared in 16 games so far this season, posting four shutouts.

No word yet if he will have to possibly skip the game due to a lower body injured he suffered in Wednesday’s loss to the Leafs. He left early in the third period after a collision with Leafs forward Nazem Kadri.
