College teachers set strike deadline

The union representing Ontario’s colleges teachers has set a strike deadline of February 11th.
That’s if OPSUE and the colleges can’t reach a new agreement before then.
OPSEU also announced at an afternoon news conference the union is willing to send all outstanding issues to binding arbitration if a settlement cannot be reached.
The move comes after the union rejected a “final” offer from the colleges last week and refused to take it directly to teachers for a vote.
The strike could impact 200 thousand full-time students.
