PC’s Susan Lahey wins York-Simcoe byelection

The leaderless Ontario Liberal Party has failed to gain ground at Queen's Park. Catalina Gillies got a chance to speak with the Liberal candidate in York-Simcoe, a riding that remains solidly blue.

Progressive Conservative Susan Lahey has won the Ontario provincial byelection in the riding of York-Simcoe.

A campaign website for Lahey lists her as an accomplished small business owner, East Gwillimbury Town Councillor and active community volunteer.

She defeated Liberal candidate Naomi Davison and NDP candidate Bobby Nikmard.
