Humane society fundraiser ends with a big pool party for dogs

The region’s biggest pool party for dogs is just over a month away and the price of admission is fundraising for the local humane society.
The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth is hosting the Dash and Splash pool party at Kiwanis Park on Sept. 13.
The event is presented by Clean and Tidy and participating dogs can make big splashes, while having a big impact.
“You can give your dog their best day ever, and help give local animals a better tomorrow,” reads the event description.
On top of the pool party, there will be food trucks, vendors, games and family-friendly activities.
Admission for one dog is a $20 donation, but the more money raised means more perks and the opportunity to win prizes.
Pet parents are also encouraged to make their four-legged friend the face of their fundraiser.
“This is one event where your dog can be the fundraiser, the participant, and the hero. We’re hoping this playful approach to fundraising will connect pet lovers with the animals they’re supporting and celebrate the bond between people and their pets,” said Victor Dinh, Director of Development at the Humane Society.
