Charges laid in fatal e-bike collision in Kitchener from April

Charges have been laid against a Kitchener driver for a collision in April that took the life of an e-bike driver.
Officers from the Waterloo Regional Police Service were called to the scene on the night of April 3 at the intersection of Lancaster Street and Guelph Street.
Police said there had been a collision between a pick-up truck and an e-bike.
A 44-year-old Kitchener man driving the e-bike died in hospital.
The 38-year-old Kitchener man driving the truck was not hurt.
A statement from police, Monday night, said the truck driver has now been charged with careless driving causing death, and turn not in safety.
The statement made no mention of when court proceedings are due to begin.
