Sweet pairing opens new Waterloo chocolate shop

Those with a sweet tooth for chocolate and treats will be eager to hear about a new local business partnership.
April 18th will mark the opening of WTFun, operated by owner Mariana Lonescu and her passion for chocolate.
“This Saturday we open our doors not just to serve desserts, but to share smiles, laughter, and a little bit of joy in every bite,” the owner said. “So come by, treat yourself and let us make your day a little brighter.”
The opening of WTFun also coincides with the reopening of a partner business known as Midnight Snack.
“Midnight Snack is thrilled to continue serving Uptown Waterloo at our new location. When we were presented with the idea to team up with WTFun, we jumped at the chance.” co-owner Laura Foster said. “This unique arrangement allows us to continue building our brand while adapting to changing economic conditions and maximizing the sustainability of our operation.”
Jeyas Balaskanthan, the executive director for the Uptown Waterloo BIA, said the BIA loves to “(celebrate) the longevity of existing businesses and this is a perfect pairing of both.”
