Fog advisory issued for Waterloo Region

Dense fog blanketed Waterloo Region and beyond on Thursday afternoon.

A fog advisory was issued around 5 p.m.

Environment Canada said the significant fog resulted in near zero visibility, which will likely affect travel.

The conditions are expected to improve close to midnight.
