Two suspects at large in Waterloo stabbing

Regional police are on the lookout two suspects following a stabbing in Waterloo on Friday.

Police responded to reports of an assault near Phillip Street and University Avenue West around 7:10 p.m. where they located a 25-year-old man with stab wounds.

The man was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they believe the incident was targeted. Two suspects are now being sought by police, both of whom are 16-year-old males.

One suspect is described as approximately 130 lbs, wearing ripped jeans, a white “Just Love” sweater, and a black jacket. The second suspect is described as approximately 100 lbs, with brown hair, wearing black shoes, black pants with a pink logo, and a black coat. He was riding a black scooter.
