Waterloo robbery sees employee threatened with knife

Regional police have released a photo of a person they’d like to identify in connection with a robbery at a Waterloo business that saw a knife drawn on an employee.

It was around 10:15 p.m. when officers responded to that robbery call in the area of Erb Street West and Fischer-Hallman Road.

It’s alleged that a man entered the store and stole goods. When he was confronted by an employee, he pulled a knife and pointed it toward the staff member.

That suspect then left the store and was last seen fleeing the area on foot.

No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery.


Regional police are asking for help identifying this person in connection with their ongoing investigation.

The robbery suspect has been described as a white man, roughly 5′ 8″ tall with short red hair and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black and grey Puma-branded hat, along with a John Deere sweater and a long black winter jacket with a fur-trimmed hood.
