The Kitchener Rangers will enter 2026 on a winning note, after securing a 4-2 victory over the North Bay Battalion.
North Bay took the lead early with a goal by Brandt Harper less than 10 minutes into the opening period. The lead would not last long, as Avry Antsis tied it up at 12:46. Haeden Ellis scored a goal of his own three minutes later to give the Rangers the 2-1 lead heading into the second.
Jack Pridham extended his goal streak to three games in the second period, with the assists coming from Luca Romano and Alexander Bilecki. He has had six goals in the last three games.

North Bay did not go quietly, as Ethan Procyszyn got one past Jason Schaubel at 14:49 in the third to make it 3-2. Despite pulling their goalie, the Battalion were not able to complete the comeback, with Dylan Edwards scoring the empty netter. He also extends his goal streak to three games.
Kitchener went 1-1 on their two-game road trip, after losing a close contest to the Sudbury Wolves on Tuesday.
After the game, Rangers head coach Jussi Ahokas said the team played well despite having a quick turnaround from their game the night before in Sudbury.
“Four line and the penalty kill, looked good,” he said. “I wouldn’t say it was a great game from us, but we played what we needed to win and it’s good to continue from this.”
The Rangers will return home on Friday, as they welcome the Barrie Colts for the first game of 2026.
