Two people from Sarnia arrested in Kitchener, several drugs seized

A man and a woman from Sarnia were arrested by WRPS Saturday following a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers responded to the area of Rockcliffe Drive after receiving a report of two people sleeping in a running vehicle in a driveway.

Officers found the driver, a 48-year-old man from Sarnia, slumped over the driver’s seat. He was found to be impaired and was arrested.

The passenger of the vehicle, a 36-year-old woman from Sarnia, was also arrested.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found suspected fentanyl, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine.

Both occupants of the vehicle have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. The man also faces a charge of operation while impaired and two counts of breach of probation.

Both were held for a bail hearing.
