Kitchener man arrested after failing to stop during R.I.D.E. program in Cambridge

A 23-year-old man from Kitchener is facing charges after a collision near a Mobile R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program in Cambridge.

On Dec. 19, regional police were conducting the program in the area of King Street and Fountain Street when a vehicle failed to stop and tried to drive away.

The vehicle then crashed into a residence, causing what police say was a significant amount of damage. No injuries were reported.

The man was arrested and was charged with several offences under the Highway Traffic Act.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to come forward.
