Cambridge pauses leaf collection due to snow

Some bad news for those who were still looking to get their leaves picked up in Cambridge: you’ll have to wait until next year.
In a Facebook post, the city says its leaf collection program was only about 70 per cent complete when last week’s snowstorm came rolling through the region.
Crews had to pause the collection to focus on clearing roads and sidewalks for winter maintenance.
The good news is that they will be reviewing areas that did not see collection completed, and when resources are available, will pick up large piles that are impacting roads, boulevards and driveways.
Otherwise, those leaves will have to stay on the ground or in bags until the spring.
