No injuries reported as truck clips building in Galt

A closure through Galt in Cambridge has since been lifted after a reported collision that saw a transport truck slice the side of a business.

It was just after 8 a.m. on Thursday morning when Grand River Transit shared news of a detour on two of its routes along Beverly Street / Wellington Street in Galt, citing a closure of between Main Street and Dickson Street.

Waterloo regional police later confirmed their officers were in the area for a single-vehicle collision in the area, as a spokesperson with the service described a crash that saw a transport truck strike the side of a building.

Pictures from the scene show a commercial motor vehicle with significant damage to the trailer, appearing to have caught the side of an awning while turning out of a nearby lot onto Wellington Street.
