A Guelph teenager is facing charges after spitting on a police officer.
Around 9 p.m. Tuesday night, Guelph Bylaw officers were called to the Auden Road and Eastview Road area after several complaints about loud music outside.
One of the youth in attendance threatened the bylaw officers with a bottle, at which point police were called.
Officers arriving on the scene noticed a girl hiding behind a vehicle. As they approached her, she began swearing at the officers, then spat at them, hitting one on the arm.
The 15-year-old from Guelph has been charged with assaulting a police officer.
As it turns out, she was already wanted for an unrelated assault.
She was held pending a bail hearing on Wednesday.
