After a busy month for the local humane society in Cambridge, a call is being put out to the community to help with it’s emergency food program.
In a Facebook post, the Cambridge Humane Society said during the month of September, they helped 204 animals, including 114 cats, 84 dogs and six small animals.
“Our Emergency Pet Food Bank helps families in need keep their beloved dogs and cats fed and cared for,” said the post.
“Right now, we are in urgent need of dry and canned dog and cat food.”
Donations can be dropped off at 1650 Dunbar Rd., from Monday to Saturday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The group says that there are also 17 cats and four dogs available for adoption.
