Cyclist struck, driver not found in Cambridge hit-and-run

A hit-and-run involving a cyclist has prompt an investigation through the Waterloo Regional Police Service.

Officers say it happened Friday evening around 8 p.m. on Franklin Boulevard near Morning Calm Drive in Cambridge.

Officers received reports of a collision involving a cyclist, and when emergency services arrived on scene, they transported the cyclist to an out-of-region hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle is said to have fled the scene before police arrived.

Regional police say anyone who saw the collision or has dash-cam footage that could aid in the investigation is asked to contact officers at 519-570-9777, extension 8856.
